NFC at Home · Effective July 5, 2026
The short version: NFC at Home does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
Everything you create in the app — NFC shortcuts, downloaded playbooks, preferences, and settings — is stored locally on your iPhone. None of it is transmitted to us or to any third party by the app.
The camera is used only to scan QR access codes when you choose to connect to a home. No photos or video are captured, stored, or transmitted.
The app reads and writes NFC tags only when you start a scan or write action. Tag contents are processed on your device.
If you grant location access, it is used only on your device to evaluate optional playbook conditions (for example, sunrise and sunset times or location-based triggers). Your location never leaves your iPhone.
When you scan an access code, the app downloads automation playbooks directly from the server chosen by that home's administrator. This request uses a temporary access code and does not include your name, contact details, or any personal identifier. You can end this access at any time in Settings, which also deletes the downloaded playbooks from your device.
Playbooks may control devices such as HomeKit accessories, Philips Hue lights, or Miele appliances. These commands are executed from your device using the respective platform's own frameworks and credentials. We do not receive or store any information about your devices.
The app is suitable for all ages and, as described above, collects no data from anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
