Rapid Rates ("the App") is a currency and unit conversion app. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.
The App does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personal information. There is no login, no registration, and no user profiles.
The App stores the following data locally on your device:
This data is stored using Apple's UserDefaults and is never transmitted to any server. It remains entirely on your device (and paired Apple Watch, if applicable).
The App connects to the Frankfurter API (https://api.frankfurter.app) solely to retrieve current foreign exchange rates. These requests contain:
No personal data, device identifiers, IP addresses, or usage data are sent by the App. The Frankfurter API is an open-source, free service. You can review their privacy practices at frankfurter.app.
The App does not use any analytics services, advertising SDKs, crash reporting tools, or social media integrations.
If you use the Apple Watch companion app, your currency preferences and cached rates are synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This data transfer occurs directly between your paired devices and does not pass through any external server.
The App offers Home Screen widgets that display currency conversions. Widget data is shared between the App and the widget extension using Apple's App Groups, which is a secure, on-device mechanism.
The App does not collect any data from any user, including children. It is safe for use by people of all ages.
We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties. There is no data to share because we do not collect any.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
